"남편 백화점" 개업

 

  여자들이 새 남편을 마음대로 골라 살 수 있는 "남편 백화점"이 뉴욕시에 개업을

했다. 다음은 남편 백화점 입구에 게시된 경영방침이다.

1. 상점방문 횟수: 1회로 제한함.

2. 매장: 1층 ~6층 

3. 상위층으로 갈수록 가격 상승

4. 각층에서는  마음대로 고를 수 있고  상위층으로 올라 갈 수 있음,

5. 각층에서는 하위층으로 다시 내려갈 수 없고 반드시 출구로 나가야함.

 

     한 여성고객이 남편 백화점(Husband Store)을 찾아 갔다.

 1층 현관에 게시문이 보인다. 1층: 직업이 있는 남자들. 

그녀는 솔깃했지만 2층으로 올라 간다. 2층: 직업있고 아이들 을 사랑하는 남자들.

"좋은데! 하지만 난 그정도론 좀 모자라지." 그녀는 또 올라간다.

3층: 직업있고 아이들 사랑하고 아주 잘 생긴 남자들. "어마나!" 탄성이 나왔지만

계속 더 올라가고 싶은 욕구를 떨칠 수가 없다. 4층으로 올라 간다.

4층: 직업있고 아이들 사랑하며 긑내주게 잘 생기고 가사를 잘 도와 주는 남자들.

"세상에!" 환호성이 나왔지만 그녀는 그곳에서 멈출 수도 없었다. 그녀는 또 다시

5층으로 계속 간다. 5층: 직업있고 아이들 사랑하며 황홀하게 매력적이고 가사를

엄청 잘 도와주고 성격도 아주 낭만적인 남자들. 그녀는 이 정도면 되지 않겠나 

유혹이 없지 않았으나 6층으로 향한다.

6층: 당신은 31,456,012 번째 고객입니다. 6층에서는 남편감을 팔지 않습니다.

6층은 여자들을 만족시키는 것이 불가능하다는 것을 보여주기위해 마련한 방

입니다.

  A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City,

where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the  instructions

at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:

You may visit this store onLY  onCE! There are six floors and the value

of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper

may  choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to

the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the  Husband Store to find a husband. on the first floor
the sign  on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs
She is intrigued, but continues  to the second floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love  Kids.

'That's nice,' she thinks, 'but I want    more.'

So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men Have  Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good Looking.

'Wow,'   she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going..

She   goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are
               Drop-dead Good Looking and Help With Housework.

'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can  hardly stand it!'

Still, she goes to the fifth  floor and the sign reads:

Floor 5 - These  men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous,
Help with   Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak...

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor,

where the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor.

There are no men on this floor. This floor exists  solely as proof

that women are impossible to please.

To avoid gender bias charges,

the store's owner opened a New Wives store just across the street.

The first floor has wives that love sex.
